  2. Thank-you for the opportunity to take Mrs Lane place on the board.
But do to the crisis in our family, [ in laws ] our plate is over flowing.
We are leaning real strong towards home schooling. 90% sure. Before this, i did allot of asking around about our taxes going up. 2 out of 10 people showed concern. I wished i had the time, but family comes first. 8 days ago i called the governors spoke person about all the SHIT that’s was being done to us. The battle can be won, but it takes 80% of votes. If our family stuff changes my wife and i will join the fight. We will be in the back-ground watching. Thanks again lisa for the credit that you gave to my wife and me.I would love to been able to walk in to that room and set down at that table. You do not even no how much. Have a great one, you are doing great.

    • Though neither potential Board opening is mine to offer, surely, you folks are the obvious choice. I am not surprised that I am not alone. Of course, all the best candidates have their priorities straight, and family absolutely must come first.

Thank you very much for speaking with the governor’s spokesperson; I’m not sure, do they mean 80% of the votes for withdrawal? I’m sure those more closely involved with the withdrawal effort will know.

When our group, “Educating Kids Locally” was embroiled here in Benedicta, we were told by a very wise man, “Nothing is illegal for the State”. The State CAN help because they are not bound by the law — they can change it. The more engagement between ourselves and our State representatives the better.

Thank you again, very much for all you have done, and your support.

  3. We were wondering where you have been. That is to bad. We all have said there would be allot of people going to the meetings just to watch. LOL. I no Mr. Tapley the day the report came out the things you did in just that day, was impressive. I to was talking to people about the tax raise. Most of the people said you would be a good board member. I’m sorry for your troubles with in your family.

Hey guys, i agree, we need a spokesman for sherman and some one that will get the rest of the boards attention. The night that Mr Tapley told the board about his ideas, there were some on the board that was into what he was saying. I no i was there. If that was done at every meeting i believe he would get results. How can you disagree with some one with that much heart in his beliefs. I think it would work.

  19. Wow! This is amazing…..

If I may, to everyone on this thread: your support of Mr. and Mrs. Tapley surely extends to what they stand for, right? The Tapleys have gone above and beyond, and done immeasurable good toward more fair decisions, but even they cannot do it without you. Every effort you make, no matter how small it appears, matters.

It’s been said that the most important office is that of the citizen, and it’s true — you are more important than anyone sitting in those Board chairs. No one can do this alone, but together, it isn’t even difficult.

Remember that the Board and Administration has no authority over you, and the air of disdain for community opinion, is a dysfunction that you can correct. Building understanding is vital, and kids and taxpayers alike need you.

Please, bring your views to the Board, ideally, at Katahdin tonight, spoken or in writing — or just appear for moral support. Write, call, engage with your State representatives….. Whether you agree with me or not, there is wisdom in numbers.

Many thanks to all of you for shaping the message from the community that Timbered Classrooms is here to provide:)
