  1. I recently read something in the book Divergent, and it reminded me so much of Katahdin and Malone. “And you shouldn’t bully people into agreeing with you.” If we are going to have an honest conversation, then the powers that be have to listen and take parents seriously, not just pretend to. Who knows better for the students then their own parents. Trying to get something done is tough, there is plenty of pretending to be concerned and listening, but the doing is where they fall short. When you have complaints, they should be taken seriously. Communication is so poor. I would say there is a real lack of respect for the parents.
